Up Close And Personal

Dad likes to take pictures of me, but he also takes videos and does silly voices. I don't know what to make of it all, but here are some videos anyway.

Pretty silly if you ask me. Although I do look quite good in them.

But today I went to the doctor. I am 8 weeks old today so I went for my first immunisations. It all sounded pretty exciting until the Sister (Sister Tring is her name) made me take my pretty colourful tights off and jabbed me in each leg with a needle! Apparently it's to make sure I don't get sick, but what an indignity!

In one leg she put stuff to stop polio, flu, diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus. In the other was something to stop pneumonia, which Daddy says is no fun at all (he had it a few years ago).

But that Daddy! I was feeling pretty groggy and cranky the rest of the morning, and when I was having a good scream about it, he films me! Honestly, that man! How does Mummy cope with him! I mean, he's nice, but this is ridiculous...

He's lucky I haven't learned to walk yet.

Meet the Folks

Mum and Dad took me to be weighed and measured the other day. They wanted to see how much I'd grown. When I was born I weighed 6 lbs 15 ounces and I was 49 cm long.

Mum and Dad were quite pleased to find out that I now weigh 8 lbs 6 ounces and I'm 53 cm long! That's good!

However, I was not best pleased about having to take my kit off in front of a strange lady and lay on a scale! Well, would you?

Anyway, Mum and Dad tell me I have lots of relatives. I already know some of them. Here's my family:

My Mum

Big sister, Amy

Dad
Nanny Christine.

Big brother Ewan.

Jack. He's not really related to me, but he's a family friend and he comes to see me often.

Big brother Josh. Don't ask.

Dad, Mum, me, James Martin and Auntie Carolyn. Apparently James Martin is a TV cook, whatever that means.

Big brother Matt.
Grandpa Chris.
Mummy with Aunt Charlotte and Nanny Pat.
And now some family members I have not yet met...
Uncle Adam, Cousin Bobby and Auntie Chelsea.

Grandad Alan.

Cousin Mark, who for some reason Dad refers to as 'Our Mark'. He lives in a place called Canada, which is apparently a long way away. But he is coming to visit soon, which will be fun!

Great-Aunt Carol and Great-Uncle Steve, who live in another far-off place, Australia.

Cousin Carl, who lives in America.
My lovely big sister Susannah...

...and my pretty big sister Emily who lives in America too.

My big brother Charlie, who lives in a place called Washington State.

My Dad with his brothers. Uncle Adam and Uncle Matt.

Aunt Erica and all her kids.

Brad and Catherine. They are cousin Carl's kids. Which makes them cousins too.

There are many more, apparently, so if I've missed any, I'm sorry. I hope I get to meet all of you soon!
